Ive owned http://www.supportuniverse.com for some time now and left it unattended as I was sidetracked with other projects.

Funny enough the site has started doing well in the SERPs and is attracting quite a few visitors (about an 1100 a day), who find a dead site and move on

The code has problems that will be fixed within the next few weeks.

My plan is to re launch the site offering both project owners and service providers free access and no commissions, with payment through http://www.escrow.com, and make a little money through advertising and affiliate programs.

The site design should be sober and business like.

The logo must also be a sober, simple professional design.

I have uploaded a basic layout that will give you the general idea of the site layout that I am looking for at: http://www.supportuniverse.com/su-new.htm

It is a combination of http://www.getacoder.com and our existing site.

That layout shows the basic proportions of the various panels which Ive numbered 1 through 13. The key is that the projects list can not be pushed bellow the fold.

1- Top nav bar Not much to say.
2- Header will have the name/logo, some graphics and allow for a banner.
3- This area will have a combination of text and graphics. It could emulate http://www.elance.coms step 1, step 2. Kind of a thing.
4- Join Now! Self explanatory, with email and password boxes and Forgot Password.
5 and 6 - Self explanatory,
7 and 8 - Self explanatory, and needs buttons for join now or get started.
9- For Skyscraper type banners and adwords. The home page will have a banner advertising our site.
10- Tabs and List - Self explanatory.
11- Empty space for now, but will have a search box in the future.
12- Some kind of space for text to help with optimization. See existing site.
13- Standard/simple footer, with text links to the main pages.

There is going to be need for designing small graphics (icons) for:
- Status (open and closed)
- place Bid
- Send a Message (or PM)
- Portfolio
- Feedback
- And whatever you can think of.

The winner will be expected to adapt the layout for other internal pages for $20/page.
