We are a firearms customizer/gunsmith. Targeting the younger "tactical" crowd. We specifically work on Glocks...so handguns, not rifles.

Simple use of colors, like the hard angles.
I just like the elephant in this. He's charging forward, a little intent in his eyes.
Nice, simple, not a lot of colors, very simple.
We want this logo to scream mean and bad ass. If you don't know, a ratel is another name for a honey badger. We'd like to incorporate a honey badger/ratel into the design.
Honey badgers/ratels have the white forehead and black face, which a european badger typically had the white and black striped face....lets try to stick with the correct version with the white forehead and black face even though the other one looks awesome.
We want to keep the colors dark red, dark grey to black and white/light grey.
We'd like the logo to look good printed in full color and also as an engraving without a lot of detail (gradients and what not).
We'd like it to look good with or without a background color.
And both with and without the name "Ratel Arms" being present in it.
We don't have a slogan yet, so if you want to include a slogan to balance out your design, just put in http://www.ratelarms.com
Artwork submitted is just an example of what we came up with, and does not represent exact colors or design we are looking for.
We'd like an illustrator file if possible.
I do like the hard edges/angles of the design we submitted an example of, but it is not a requirement.
Incorporating teeth and or claws would be a big plus as a lot of what we do is grip modifications, we make guns easier to get a rock solid grip on and harder to drop, fumble, or just have a poor or slippery grip on.
Texturing and or distressing is always great so we have an idea of what it might look like on a t-shirt, but would also like to see how the logo looks without it.
We'd also like to see how the logo looks shrunken down in a single color, to make sure that it is still identifiable.
