First time i read the brief, it was a long long list. Then i categorized the elements based on the type of information, so i know where to put the elements on the dashboard. Then i prioritized the grouped elements, the most important at the top, the less important below it.
And lastly, i add graph, diagram, and chart so the manager can scan the information easily and quickly. Besides, it also make the dashboard more interesting.")
