The design was originally made during a contest. I improved upon the draft version.
The contest holder wanted a black long sword with a chess tower on its hilt and a blue banner in the background.
I wanted the sword's looks to fit with the title and express "Anguish" with its edges and shape. Still, the contest holder asked the designers to keep a calm overall look. I hoped to achieve a little mysterious feel as well, with the shiny fog behind the sword and dark colors. The florals should underline the fantasy genre.
