I had a completely different design to start out which only consisted of a head and wing of a phoenix. Although working with Paskhalis he wanted the design reworked but loved the font.
In doing so it I decided to draw out the whole body and expand the wings and add more fire as if the phoenix was being born out of the ashes. I also tried to make the phoenix look symmetrical and asymmetrical all at the same time giving it a lot of detail and interest. I was also asked to make the phoenix look regal.
This was a fun design and contest and I really enjoyed designing it.")

Not only will they be making coffee but also now have added spices.
For the redesign they wanted something more tropical. So I wanted to express that in my design adding the tropical vegetation and bright colours and still including the coffee beans. I also wanted to make sure the spices were evident as well.
Mike was great to work with and always gave me substantial communication as to what he wanted. He is a great contest holder and I would jump at the chance to work with him again.")
:format(webp)/99designs-contests-attachments/68/68750/attachment_68750970 "When I started this design I knew I wanted to incorporate a starfish or a seashell. Although they were targeting the luxury market, they still needed the logo to be organic and not too sterile or elegant.
I also knew from the reference pictures they included within their design brief I wanted to use the colour turquoise of the beautiful water and beach that their resort looks out to. I also wanted to use a starfish as their main graphic and I also drew it so it wouldn't be straight on perspective. I wanted it to have some flair added to it to make it look interesting.
Working with Melanie and her team was a great experience. She was always receptive to any questions I had and she was very specific with her feedback with is always essential in creating a logo and branding. It was a fun project and I am proud of what I created.")

It is a monthly subscription company that will bring a set of curated sauces--and later foods--to your door step.
The design concept for the SPREAD logo was a definite evolution from where it started. The contest holder had invited me to join this contest.
They wanted a colour that was realistic and vibrant. I had gone through several colour combinations to get it to where it is. The colours had to be fun and look tasty so I used colours of sauces.
As for the graphic they wanted it to be included within the text. They also wanted something with impact and something which conveyed that they were in the food industry. The utensils seemed to work and perfectly illustrate what they were all about. I was really happy to work with SPREAD to make this come to life.

I wanted to add some texture to give it more depth and give it an interesting look. They knew they wanted green and black. I used a muted green to coincide with the rest of the look. I had a great time and rapport with the client and they gave me plenty of feedback.")

I drew out the letters but hand and the digitized them to convey a sense of relaxation with a welcoming feeling. I really listened to the contest holder and what they were after with every edit. I also think the colours helped in giving that feeling that the REVE'ZEN spa was somewhere that you will go to relax and be pampered. The contest holder was very easy to work with and made designing the logo that much quicker.")
